Sell digital products for crypto

How to sell files, private content and subscriptions for USD stablecoins with a checkout link: what you can sell, what buyers need and what it costs.

Selling a file or a piece of writing for crypto used to mean running a payment gateway and a delivery system of your own. With 402.shop, you only need a link: you describe the product, set a price in dollars and share the checkout page. The buyer pays in a USD stablecoin and sees what they bought as soon as the payment confirms.

Ecommerce for digital products

A digital product needs an offer a buyer can understand, a way to pay and a way to receive the purchase. 402.shop connects those steps: the checkout page presents your description and price, the buyer pays in stablecoins, and confirmed payment unlocks your published files or private content. You can use it alongside an existing website without building a storefront.

What you can sell

  • Files. Sell up to 20 files per release through private download links that expire after one minute.
  • Private content. Text, images and video that only buyers can open.
  • Subscriptions. Offer ongoing access to your content, billed every few days or weeks.
  • Anything you deliver yourself. Create a checkout link without attaching files or content, then fulfil paid orders in your own system.

A product can have several prices, such as personal and commercial licences, each with its own checkout link. When you publish a new version, everyone who bought it gets that version too.

How to start

  1. Sign in with a Tempo wallet. It opens in the browser and is secured by a passkey.
  2. Add a product: a title, a description buyers read before paying, and the files or content they receive after payment.
  3. Set a price in US dollars, from one cent, and publish it.
  4. Share the checkout link, with one person or in public.

What the buyer needs

A Tempo wallet holding stablecoins. One-time purchases require no 402.shop account. Purchases are linked to the wallet used to pay, so buyers can sign in with that wallet later to access them. Prices are shown in US dollars and payments are made in a USD stablecoin. On Tempo's main network the token is USDC.e, the bridged form of USDC.

What it costs

402.shop takes 5% of each sale. You receive the remaining 95% directly in your wallet when payment is confirmed, usually within seconds. There is no balance to withdraw or monthly fee. Confirmed payments cannot be reversed; to issue a refund, send a separate payment back to the buyer.

Where it fits

There is no storefront and no catalogue: buyers find your product through the links you share. If you already have an audience, a newsletter or a community, that is all you need. If you have an app of your own, include your order ID in the checkout link instead.

The checkout is for buyers who can pay from a funded Tempo wallet. It does not accept card payments. Choose a one-time price for a download or a stablecoin subscription for ongoing access. You provide the product, licence and support; 402.shop handles payment and access to the files and content you publish.

Sell the same product to AI agents

An agent can read the offer and make a one-time purchase through MPP, then authenticate with the paying wallet to retrieve the content. You use the same product and price as the browser checkout. The guide to selling to AI agents explains what buyers need and how to describe a product for both people and agents.
